The reverse of the coin designed by Caitlin Lindstrom-Milne shows the profile of a Grizzly bear about to bite a carp. Inside the profile of the bear, a waterfall has been created to indicate the inner nature of the animal. On the top of the reverse, the inscriptions: “CANADA” – the country of issue, “2019” – the year of issue and “50 DOLLARS” – the face value. The obverse of the coin depicts the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: ‘ELIZABETH II’ – the name of the Queen and “D-G-REGINA” – Dei Gratia Regina.
